Yes - you must inform us if the health of any traveller changes. We would need to know before the start date of your Single Trip policy, or before you next travel on your Annual Multi-Trip policy.
Changes which we need to know about are:
- new or altered prescription medication
- the deterioration of a previously stable condition
- referrals to a consultant/specialist
- the investigation of an undiagnosed condition
- if a traveller is awaiting results/treatment/surgery
We will then let you know whether your policy needs amending, we need to refer the amendment to the underwriter of your policy, and if there is an additional premium to be paid. If we cannot cover your condition(s), or you do not want to pay the additional premium, we reserve the right to:
- consider a cancellation claim for pre-booked trips
- exclude medical conditions from cover
- cancel the policy and provide a proportionate/partial refund (provided there are no claims made or pending)
