Travel insurance policies are designed to cover the full duration of your trip, so on this basis we cannot provide cover for only part of your trip.
If your Annual Multi-Trip (AMT) is due to expire while you are still on holiday, there are two options:
- If you intend to purchase another AMT when your current one expires, we can begin your new policy before the start date of your holiday. For example, if your policy expires on the 10th November but you’re on holiday from the 5th - 15th, we can set up your next Annual Multi-Trip policy to begin on the 5th, so that you are covered for the full duration of the holiday. Note that this would mean a small overlap of your policies.
- We can arrange for a Single Trip to cover this holiday only, if you do not intend to purchase another AMT or have no further travel plans. Using the above example, we would set you up with a Single Trip from the 5th - 15th of November, and your policy would expire when you return home on the 15th, leaving you free to decide what kind of policy to choose next time you travel. In the meantime, your current AMT would expire.
