If, due to unexpected circumstances beyond your control, for example, due to illness or injury or unavoidable delays affecting your return flight or public transport, your trip cannot be completed within the period of cover outlined in your policy certificate, cover will be extended for you at no extra cost for up to 30 days.
This also applies to one person travelling with you who is authorised to stay with you by the Medical Emergency Assistance Company if the extension is due to medical reasons.
All requests for more than 30 days must be authorised by the Medical Emergency Assistance Company, who can be contacted via 02034 722388 or via email at operations@emergencyassistance.co.uk
