An Annual Multi-Trip begins when you'd like it to. If you set the start date as the date of purchase, you would be covered immediately. If you set it for a later date, your policy will not be active until then - this includes Cancellation cover.
For Single Trip policies, your cancellation cover begins immediately after payment, and all other benefits on the policy come into effect on the day you travel.
